Ryan Goeglein of Equity Home Inspections has informed me that the EPA and the Surgeon General recommend that all houses be tested for radon.  Ryan also has explained the danger of breathing radon gas.  I/we understand that radon, a radioactive gas, is a Class A carcinogen and the 2^nd leading cause of lung cancer, estimated to cause 21,000 deaths in the United State each year, and that radon can be detected only with a radon test.
